Spotlight on: Giardino del Piacere

We can sum up why we initially decided to spotlight Giardino del Piacere in one word: Gratitude. You will find it in abundance there . . . and Ceeci is spearheading the campaign to spread it throughout the blogosphere.

Called “Gratitude Tuesday,” Ceeci decided to “break my gratitudes down alphabetically and keep them to just one letter per week. Having a shorter list would allow me the freedom to explain as much or as little as I wish.” To encourage others to join her in this blogging adventure, she created the attractive button show here. The rules are

simple, there are none. It’s bedlam and chaos, not really. It’s you being you, you letting everyone know what you love, what you’re grateful for, what makes you and your day happy. . . Don’t worry about consistency, this is just a way to help focus on the little things that make life richer. When I take the time to think of all the things I’m grateful for I realize how full my life is and the niggling things begin to fade away.

She has posted her way through the entire alphabet and begun again. This round, she is up to the letter “N.” All of her gratitude posts are neatly categorized in an expandable box in the left sidebar. There is a blogroll that currently lists 21 members. But, as Ceeci says, you can join or not. There are no rules other than a desire to explore and post about what you are grateful for in your life.

Ceeci is multi-talented as her photographs, works of fiction and musical selections, all linked to Giardino del Piacere, amply demonstrate. She maintains four blogs, including Geeky Streak where, one post at a time, she is “exploring the style of CSS beginning with the basics and working from the ground up!”

Whether you decide to participate in Gratitude Tuesday or not, stop by and check out Cici’s beautiful blog, and let her know you’re there via the Magical Rose Garden!

Being a very new blog, we have been exploring ways to spread the word about the garden. Today we discovered Link and Blog Challenge and are giving it a try. If you have had any experience with that particular site or the concept, we welcome your comments!

Thank you for your kind words about CeeCi’s garden, they are so true.
I’ve been strolling in her garden almost since she opened her gates, I do it daily.
I’ve found peace, enlightenment, and best of all a friend.
Warm hugs,
Paul.

Thank you so much for featuring my sites today, I’m honored.

I had no idea when I began Gratitude Tuesday more than 40 weeks ago what an important part of my life it would become. It has enriched and changed my life in many positive ways. Many of the participants have shared the same sentiments. It is nearly impossible to be negative when you’re focusing on the things in your life that are good and positive.

Blogging has also changed my life in many ways as well. It has introduced me to kind and like minded people from around the planet. I have learned things I never dreamed I’d know 18 months ago when I wrote my first post.

I know it is because of the amazing interactions and the support of others I’m still at this and still having fun!

Again, thank you for your kind words and all the wonderful links!

ciao adesso~

CeeCi’s site is excellent ! Week in and week out, her perspective and photographs are lovely and thought provoking. She has a way of turning lemons into lemonade that makes what you read something you rememeber as a life lesson…
